This tool changes the capitalisation of any text in one click. Choose a text style such as UPPER CASE, lower case, Title Case or Sentence case, or a programming style such as camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, CONSTANT_CASE, kebab-case or dot.case. There is also aLtErNaTiNg case for memes and mock text.
Pressing a case converts the text in the box straight away and highlights the case you used. Undo steps back through your changes, including typing and clearing, and you can copy the result or download it as a .txt file.
Sentence case lowers everything and then capitalises the first letter of each sentence and line. It cannot tell proper nouns or abbreviations like e.g. from sentence ends, so give the result a quick read. The programming cases work line by line, so you can convert a list of names in one go.
Everything runs in your browser. Your text is not sent anywhere.
Type or paste your text into the box, then press the case you want. The text changes in place. If you do not like the result, press Undo to go back, or press another case to convert the current text again.
Title Case capitalises the first and last word and every important word, and leaves short words like a, an, and, of, the, to and with in lower case. Style guides differ a little on which words count as small, so check the result if you follow a specific one. Acronyms are lowered too, so fix a word like NASA by hand.
Both join words with no separator and capitalise each new word. camelCase starts with a lower case letter (myVariableName), and PascalCase starts with a capital (MyVariableName). The code cases also split text that is already camelCase, so userID_name becomes user_id_name in snake_case.
Yes. It uses Unicode rules, so letters like é, ü, ñ, ø and Greek or Cyrillic text change case correctly. Accents are kept in the code cases, for example café au lait becomes café_au_lait. A few languages have special rules, such as the German ß, which becomes SS in capitals.
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser and your text is never uploaded or stored.
