Brand guides from print designers often list only CMYK, while the website needs a screen color. This applies the standard formula to preview the color and gives you a HEX code to start from.
About the formats. CMYK describes a color as the share of cyan, magenta, yellow and black ink (each 0% to 100%) used to print it. Values are read as percentages, with or without the % sign, and the CSS name device-cmyk() is understood too. A HEX code writes the red, green and blue channels as two hexadecimal digits each, so #ff6b35 is red ff (255), green 6b (107) and blue 35 (53). The leading # is optional here, the short forms #f63 and #f63a work, and the 8-digit form #RRGGBBAA adds transparency.
How exact is it? The conversion uses the plain mathematical formula, R = 255 × (1 − C) × (1 − K), with no color profile, so it will not match what a particular printer and paper produce. The result is written as six hex digits (eight when the color is partly transparent), which gives one of 256 levels per channel.
For example, cmyk(57.5%, 0%, 25.5%, 58.4%) in CMYK is #2d6a4f in HEX. Enter percentages, with or without the % signs and with commas or spaces: cmyk(0%, 58%, 79%, 0%) and 0 58 79 0 mean the same. CSS device-cmyk() is understood as well.
Type or paste a CMYK value such as cmyk(57.5%, 0%, 25.5%, 58.4%) and the HEX value, #2d6a4f, appears straight away. Use Copy to put it on your clipboard, or choose a color with the picker.
Close, but not identical. There is no color profile in the formula, and ink on paper looks different from light on a screen. Use your printer's proof as the reference and this as a starting point.
K is the black plate, short for key. Black ink is used because mixing cyan, magenta and yellow gives a muddy dark brown rather than a true black.

CMYK has no transparency, so the HEX result is always fully opaque.
No. The conversion runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
